2010 GTI MKVI Arrived today!
We now have TWO 2010 GTI's in stock! United Grey Metallic, Dark Carbon Grey 6Spd manual.
CC gaining hard in popularity.
I wonder if it is market exposure... You know, the guy driving down the street, sees a CC going down the road, "oh look, a benz... wait, is that a VW badge?". Whatever it is, (And I do think it is market penetration and increasing visibility) the CC is starting to move, and fast.
As of right now I've yet to see a 2010 Luxury or V6 model hit the lot. But the sports are flying out the door at under 30k. And why not? Sit in one and demo it. It simply doesnt feel, act or drive like a car that comes in at under 30 grand. The comfort level is amazing, the seamless doors, standard features, the way it drives, AND it gets over 30 mpg? Its about time that someone brought a true european sports SALOON (thats right I called it a saloon) to the states for under 30K. To heck with the Passat R36, I'd take the CC VR6 with 4 motion over that any day of the week. Oh yeah, and the fact you can actually GET a CC VR6 4Motion, that makes a big difference too.
And unlike BMW, VW's highline model (VR6 or VR6 4 motion) will come STANDARD with things like bluetooth, leather, panoramic sunroof, premium sound, automatic DSG tranny, heated seats and mirrors, padle shifters, adaptive headlights all for LESS than the price of a base line comprable BMW, Audi, or Benz.
I wonder.... Is BMW, and Daimler Benz listening? Tip- "brand image" and presitage factor can't compete with this upper deck home run that VW has lauched.
TDI Madness and GTI-R Rumors.
Its funny how demand for cars ebbs and flows... One thing is certain though, the TDI is hot right now. VERY hot. We actually have two Jettas in stock now as of today. I wonder how long they will last? I sold one Wednesday that was still sitting in port. Very happy customer took delivery on it yesterday after we expidited the transport. It arrived with the white gold unit. The TDI Sportwagen we unloaded yesterday was also gone before it's wheels hit the pavement of our lot.
Right now we have one in black, and one in white gold. Both with black interior.
As for the Golf TDI? We are hoping soon, possibly by the end of the year when the new MKVI GTI's arrive, which also sold out in roughly a week. We have yet to see a TDI Golf (World car of the year mind you) here. I can't wait to test drive one when they arrive. If its anything like the Jetta TDI, it will be superb.
We had a crew of representatives from VW in the dealership yesterday. One fellow was from Wolfsburg, Germany. They are trying to get us the TDI's but it is what it is. I also asked the German VW rep to see if he could find out more for me on the R20 spec GTI-R coming stateside. Right now my money is on it.. His initial response was "probably" and he is going to try to find out more when he goes back home this week, and pass that information on to me. If I had to wager I would say we will be getting it and it will be here mid-late 2010. But as we all know, right now it's just a rumor, even though the car is being produced for the euro gang.
I do happen to have a very nice 2008 red R32 on my lot with low mileage on it. As for now... Thats the closest I can come to getting anyone an R spec dub.
