  1. I love the new CC and am considering it here with the 2.0 liter turbo engine. However can a front drive saloon compare to rear drive BMW? Kind of bugs me as I have only owned rear drivers and now feel like I might be stepping down to a transverse layout with FRR. Also am concerned about the 2.0 liter turbo oil burning problem, there is a lot of appearing all over the forums across the AUDI line, in the A4, GTIs, even Tiguans, any steps that is being addressed in the 2010s???

    Thanks

  2. The new 2.0T FSI is a different breed than the old 1.8 and 2.0 turbo. I have not seen or heard of any oil related issues from it. BMW also claims 1 qt per 3k miles is nominal. The problem is in my opinion no turbo vehicle should go more than 5k miles without an oil and filter change. NA engines are another animal. I dont care what the manufacturer says. Call me old school, but I will never go more than 5K on the best synthetic in a turbo car.

As to the driveline differences, all I can say is demo it and put ith through its paces. Even if you dont like the sport or lux 2.0t, or the front only drive, the VR6 4Motion model still comes in cheaper than a base model RWD A4 or 328 or 335. Let alone the Quattro / Xdrive models of these cars.
